new struts
are the new factory struts better than the 05 factory struts? is it worth the money to replace them while they are out for the leveling kit? or are the new ones sh#! as well and jsut waitntil june for the arrival of the monroes?
It's been talked about in a couple threads the last few days, but I would say to look into shocks for the 08 TRX4 model. I don't think anyone has figured out if they're different part numbers than the 05-07 TRX shocks, but on the new truck I just got last week, they're WAY stiffer than my 05 SLT was. Some guys have talked that they have or had 05-07 TRX models and theirs are mushy as hell too, but on this 08 of mine, it's a world of difference from the Caddy-like shocks that were on my other 4X4.
I'd say to stick with online research though. The parts guys at Dodge dealers don't seem to know their *** from a hole in the ground, so you'll probably get nowhere trying to cross-reference part numbers with them.

From some of the auto magazines I have read that the springs in the 2008s are 20% stiffer than the 2005-2007 dakotas. The shocks have also been revalved. The front sway bar is lighter and the rear sway bar has been eliminated completely. THe sway bars should let the suspension articulate more for better off road performance. It will hurt on road handleing in corners however. I may have to pull the rear sway bar off my 2005 and put it on the 2008 I have on order.
