08 Daks
Thanks for all the posts guys.
I was at the Raliegh auto expo this weekend and the Dodge display was VERY weak. The didnt have a dakota or a durango , and they had an 08 Ram....I was really hopeing to sit in an 08 Dakota, and an 09 Ram...
Frenchy, i tried your link but it wouldnt work...went to Car domain but got an error.
I like the truck Racin...I'm more of a Sport guy myself..but i thik i would prefer the stiffer suspension in the TRX...
anyone know if there gonna offer a Manual Transmission with the 4.7 anymore? Maybe next year?
thanks again all

Not ever? that sucks. One of the big attrations of the Dak for me is the Manual with a V8.
If i wanted to buy a Ram tho i wouldnt want a 4.7...and the only other options for a Ram with a manual is a HD....andI really dont need a HD.
Oh well....i guess my current Dak just has to last alot longer now
Thanks for the input

Ya Frenchy, i checked it out at home and was able to see it...the new ones are really growing on me.....just not sure if i can handle and an automatic after driving a 5 speed for the last 15 years.
(sigh) I guess i'll just have to wait and see what happens...my ol' Dak still runs like a champ..so no reason to get rid of it anyway.

Well add another Happy '08 Dakota owner to the list. I took delivery of an '08 TRX4 on 3/15 and am thoroughly pleased. It has a good controlled ride, the 4.7 so far is getting about 15.5 MPG as I only have about 200 miles on it. This is my fourth DAK. #1 was one of the first '87 models out. #2 was a '91 club cab w/ the trusty 'ole 318. #3 was a '99 reg cab sport w/ a 5 speed. And now a '08; I sure hope this isn't the last year for them. I initially was leary of the Gen III's but looks like they got it right for this year..now if they would just market 'em properly.

PS: Thanks to everyone whoe responded earlier this year to my posts when I had questions on tow capacity and differential sizes.
