Default it's that time again

Ok folks, every few monthsI post a version of this question, and haven't gotten a straight answer. Please help. These lights coming on and off are literally driving me insane.

My passenger seat airbag light, yellow one in center of dash, and red one in the cluster, have developed a mind of their own. Thus turning my interior into a damned Christmas tree. It's maddening!

Question is: Can/how do I tell the Dak to just leave the passenger airbag always on/armed?I need a safe/legal/$free$ way to turn off these damned lights! I don't care if it goes off unecessarily in the event of a collision. I understand that's why it's set up like that. Ican't disconnect it entirely because; even if it didn't throw a code, resulting in thesame problem I have currently, I would get my **** sued off by any passenger I put in that front seat,in the event of a collision where the airbag didn't deploy because I knowingly disconnected it.

No, I'm not under warranty.Yes I read the service manual, and that section was way over my head.

my passenger air-bag light comes on every so often on it's own, and once before I had both air-bag lights come on. Usually an engine restart fixes the problem for me.
Obviously there is some sort of weight sensor in the passenger seat that triggers the on/off sensor. There must be a way to get into that sensor and short it out or open it up, whichever works for a permanent ON. But that answer I do not have. If you're daring, play around under the passenger seat with the sensor/wiring....

just go to a muffler shop you trust and tell them what you want. don't go too crazy, and if you want LOUD, Flowmaster 40(s) will do the trick.

I actually had the same thing happen as ronnustwo. both lights came on, shut vehicle off, restarted and they were still on. did that again and they went off. it happened again this morning, and am bringing it to dodge tomorrow. i will let you know what i find out (if anything... there arent really any great dodge dealers around here...) i, however, DO still have the warranty, but if they fix it ill ask how much it would have cost w/o it

My lights were playing these same games last night and I came to realize that the center console I had stuffed between the seats was the culprit. It was from walmart and was the narrowest one I could find anywhere. It was a very tight fit, and it must have been affecting the sensors somehow. So, apparently the sensors are pretty sensitive.

Don't know if you have any aftermarket stuff in the cab, but something could be tripping off the sensors.
