I talked with a Volant Performance represenative back in Nov. 07 regarding a CAI. They did not have a product made for a 3rd gen Dakota yet. He asked for me to leave my truck with them for a day so they can do a mold. In return, the CAI would be free. Before I could get my truck to them, my 06 QC 4.7 was totaled in an accident. I called them early Jan. and brought my new 07 to them. They had my truck all day andintoovertime making a cast. They told meby Feb 24th, the CAI would be ready and they would also do an exhaust too for free. I was estatic.

Well, I have only talked to that guy once in the past 3 months asking if they are ready for my truck. I have 5(?) phone calls/emails to him and no response. Last conversation with him was 3 weeks ago and he was going over scheduling to bring my truck in. I do realize I am getting everything for free, but I also want to start doing mods to my truck.

So my questions are:
1. Should I remain patient orshould I look into other options?
2. Are there any3rd gen owners interested in a Volant CAI (since my truck is the only one visiting there shop)?

BTW, I have a friend who works in the corporate office for K&N and K&N has been a sponsor on my desert race truck before. So I can get a pretty good discount. I can also get a deal for an exhaust at a local shop that I know. But Volant was going to give me the dyno numbers, which I am interested in too.

What should I do?

Thats strange that he isn't responding to you I would go and try to see him in person about it and ask to look at your truck just to check things over. If everything looks okay then I would ask him face to face about how long is he going to need the truck for that way you at least have an idea of when you are going to get it back.

I would stop in and ask to see the plans for the intake. Sounds to me like they haven't done anything.

Def go and talk to this guy face to face. Sounds like procrastination on their end, and he is avoiding you. He can't avoid you face to face. I have always been a fan of the K&N Series, thats all I need to say![sm=signs003.gif]
