Gas prices

Man, I'd kill for $3.35 again. We're up to $3.55-$3.59 per gallon here in Lebanon (home) and Mechanicsburg (work)...it's painful....went up 20 cents this week.

3.49 for regular unleaded (85) in lovelandcolorado, it gets cheaper the farther you are from the highway.

I paid 3.35 the other day down in South Jersey here...and I dont even have a job, *sigh*. But anyway Im gonna be filling up on the Garden State Parkway tonight before midnight cause its still 3.17, so anyone in Jersey and I noticed a few of you, if it isnt too far should try to fill it up there before they raise the price, cause before midnight its still frozen where its at!!!! But Im not sure how much it is where you guys are at..central or north jersey
i live in Illinois and on the way home a gas station by my work said 3.79 for regular. in my town it's 3.69 for nowand the two towns are only 25 minutes apart. how are gas prices varying this much?
Here in Toledo, OH its about $3.45/gallon for the cheap gas. However, I am waiting until late Saturday or somtime Sunday to fill it up because all the stations here raise the prices about late Tuesday/Wednesday and drop them on late Saturday/Sunday. So if you watch that rythm, you can save yourself a few dollars.
I am hoping it won't go to much above $4 per gallon as I think that is supposed to be the point where it becomes price effective to make gas from alternate sources. There's some hope for making either ethanol or even gasoline (and you guys know I use e85 normally anyway) from junk plant material. If that pans-out then we can use the corn stalks or wheat stalks or soybean plants for fuel and still leave the food parts for ...food.
One tech I heard about that had promise was to use algea to make biodiesel. In theory, you need a lot of water and a lot of sun. So maybe use an algea that grows well in saltwater and then buy some land near a sunny beach or even find a variety that floats and use open ocean with a big floating plastic wall that keeps most of it inside, then suck up the slimy, oily gunk into a tanker to go process into diesel.
Well I can always hope can't I?

nah, all you need is some standing water and sun... Dont turn on your swiming pool filter and pump for a month... I bet you see green.
so they just need a lot of water and sun... sounds like a lot of cement "ponds" to me.
and if you dont harvest all of the algea, it multiplies very fast!
