hey buddy! been a while since ive seen you on here. im on a lot but dont post nearly as much, it seems a lot of the crew has left or barly post anymore. and thanks i appreciate it. how long did it take? well it depends how fast each layer dries which depends on the temp and humidity along with how thick and how many layers you do. i spent about 4 hours out at the shop just drinkin some beer, listening to music, and talkin with some college buddies i had over. it probably could have been done faster, but then again like i said, most people go with half the layers i did and i did lose track of time with the good company i had. and to tell you the truth, i havent had a chance to buff them like i said i was going to do. i got busy. tomorrow i should have time to take them off, and to tell you the truth, i may try sanding the clear with 1000 grit and buffing it. if i make a small mistake ill sand even and spray another layer or 2 of clear, no problem. honestly, it probably doesnt need sanded and could get away as it is or just buffed but im pretty **** about my stuff. if you look in my night pics above, you can see one of my license plate lights is dim, so i ordered and just got new leds for that. check out vleds.com they make some that shoot 90 degrees and is perfect for the license plate. ok im off subject now. ill let you know tomorrow if i can get it quite as smooth and glossy as the paint and i will take pics too. but honestly, its pretty glossy with that clear on. without its more of a satin, i wouldnt go so far as to say flat, def more satin. but i def wanted to seal it with something, and clear is perfect, it glossed it up a bit more. so tomorrow, i will try to get it as smooth and glossy as the paint, and i will take daytime brake pics for you guys.

as to where to buy niteshade. well, it is made by VHT and it has to be purchased online. i got mine from summit racing, i figured they are midranged in price that i found however i knew the name and trusted using them than most other places i found it. here is a link. i ordered 2 cans, it could probably be done with one, but i ordered 2 just in case. i did my tails and my cargo lamp. i used 1 can and maybe 1/4 of the 2nd. i also bought 2 cans of clear at autozone but didnt even finish one, however they were a bit larger.

oh and also, you can tape off the reverse part of the lights if you wish. then before you clear take off the tape and clear the whole deal so it comes out smooth and even. i know people that have done it, however i didnt want to. and like i said, i went A LOT darker than most people. honestly, even after one light coat, it looked 100x better. dont go too thick at one time. take your time and do it layer by layer

hey im sorry i kind of dropped the ball. my dad got busy and called me in to work some these past 2 days and tomorrow (thursday) i have my final doc appt for my finger.. i havent had time to do it like i thought but hopefully by this weekend i will have them done for sure. as for the firehawk, its sittin pretty at less than 9500 orig miles as of right now and is sleeping. shes stock minus tint, the antennea which i had to replace bc it was missing when dropped off at my house, and of course the rubber. and it did come with duels out the back, however my grandfather added the tips. the TOTL (or 2 on the left) exhaust didnt come out till 94 i believe and that became ionic on the hawks although it could have been ordered w/o. i spent the big bucks and bought goodyear eagle f1 gsd3 tires for her. here are some pics guys. and yes i have permission for all of these pics, even the ones from the calendar shoot with the watermark granted these are crappy off internet pics and not nice high resolution, i do have permission.

3 AWARDS 1 SHOW....PEOPLES CHOICE TROPHY, BEST ALL ORIG PLAQUE, TOP PONTIAC....HONESTLY I JUST ENJOY GOING BUT THE FACT THAT MOST OF THE TIME I WALK AWAY WITH AT LEAST ONE THING IS A HUGE BONUS CONSIDERING THE HUGE AMOUNT OF MEANING THIS CAR HAS TO BE BEING IT WAS LEFT FOR ME FROM MY GRANDFATHER WHOM BESIDES MY PARENTS WAS THE CLOSEST PERSON TO ME. IT MEANS SO MUCH, BUT MY FAV CAR I BEAT CAME FROM THIS SHOW WHICH I WON 3 AWARDS, THE MOST I HAVE EVER ONE. CONSTANTLY I WIN ONE OR 2 AT A TIME, BUT 3? GIVE ME A BREAK. HERE IS AFTER THE SHOW, AND BELOW THAT THE VEHICLE I AM MOST PROUD OF BEATING FOR BEST ALL ORIG

Untitled-1-8.jpg
ITS OWNED BY THE OWNER OF A RESTORATION SHOP DOWN HERE. HAHA ONLY THING THAT WAS RESTORED WAS THE FRONT CLIP AND 1 FRONT 1/4 PANNEL SINCE IT WAS DAMAGED IN A FENDER BENDER (IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY). EITHER WAY, ITS A BEAUTIFUL VEHICLE
