Trailmaster KIT and Springs
I bought the trailmaster kit a while ago and just decided to wait for new shocks before i put it in. Well my new shocks are on the way and i need some help on how to compress the springs. I have one of those spring compressor hand tools but i really like my face the way it is, so is there another way/tool? I know a wall mounted spring compressor is the way to go but i dont know anyone who has one.

how did I miss this?
I am pretty sure that people have said NOT to use the hand tool. I am not sure how you would go about getting your hands on a wall mounted one either...
has anyone even thought about changing their own struts?

If I end up getting the new struts I will be changing them myself, getting the strut/spring out was relatively easy the first time, plus now I know how it's done. My grandfather informed me after my small nightmare with mine that the home-made bearing press we have in the corner of the shop can be easily reconfigured to compress the springs, if only he'd told me that 3 days earlier, lol.
Edit: Don't try these at home. Use a wall mount.
When I am at home working and don't want to drive the 20 miles to work just to pop-off some springs, I bring them down to a local garage and they use thier wall mount and charge me only a few $s.
It would cost me as much in fuel as I pay them, then add in the travel time.
