i took my truck in today for the first service, while there i asked them to look at the a/c cause the damn thing didn't work. turns out they never charged the system at the factory, friggin goofs. they also informed me of a recall on the front control module too that i wasn't aware of, i'm hoping that will fix the problems i've been having with my trailer light's, ie. no power to the plug except park lights. so hopefully any other new 2008 owners having problems can find a solution through my experience!

 

There is a Customer Satisfaction Notification # H20 to reconfigure the Front Control Module.
This is for the 2008 Dakota's "NOT" equipped with the Trailer Towing Group option.

The problem is.... The 4-way electrical connector for trailer lights on your truck
(VIN: ......) may not function properly due to an improperly configured Front Control Module (FMC)

Chrysler will repair your vehicle free of charge (parts and labor). Contact your dealer


That was ina notice that was mailed, which,Ijust received 2 days ago.

My A/C works just fine...LOL,,, I quess it was just one of those factory slip ups... Maybe Lunch break....

 

How on earth did the A/C thing get past quality control

There final inspection probably involves kicking the tires and spit shinning the fender.

 

sounds like dodge...lol my a/c didn't come charged and surprisingly enough my truck didn't come with the antenna on the fender or and was missing the satelite radio knub was missing...lol i was laughing the whole time cause i thought it was hilarious as ****!
