Just traded my 01 Quad Sport for a 08 Quad Sport with 4.7L.. Truck is pretty loaded every option except 4X4.
On regular 87 oct.. getting 26.7 at 63MPH with cruise set.. I think the 16 sparkplug setup helps,, (except when its time for a tuneup!)...
Love the new truck,, Little bigger than the 01, and rides great on the open road..
I'm gonna have to demand that you give me your truck immediately. I know Tae Bo and play violent games on my PS3. Don't fret tho little fella...I'm sure we can work something out.

I would love a 2wd, but my lifestyle demands 4wd. And honestly I don't mind using a bit more fuel to be able to have confidence in my truck. I know eric mentioned in a different post that he liked seeing his gas reciepts, and I'm kinda the same way. Some people always fret when they put on lots of miles, I relish it! If i'm going to pay 40,000 for a truck, I wanna be able to use it!

Great mileage Import; my best ever was a touch under 26 with the V6.

MY mileage the past few weeks has been ****-poor. But I have been tooling around town versus getting on the highway due to the fact i was recently laid off. I was getting 14.3 but today drove over 100 miles mostly on the highway (but some of it was stop and go Bull...) so I averaged 18.9. Without the traffic, I was up around 22mpg driving at about 72 mph. I know if I slowed some, I would do better.

In the next 6 months (could be sooner, could be when our lease it up next May), we are moving back to Southern California, so I will eager to see what kind of MPG I will get driving across the country.
