I have 07 v6 with the 3.92 and have pulled some monsterous trailers and other objects and never really had a problem. The suspension will give out before that great little engine will trust me!

I towed 6850lbs in a 6x12 Uhaul trailer about 250 miles with my Raider Quad 4x4 V8 Auto. Mostly highway/country roads, but did go through Greenville, NC. She handled it well. Really didn't have any issues, since it was all flat land. It didn't like to accelerate with that much, but overall did really well. Oh I have the 3.92's.

Sorry it took me so long to reply...the old DF wouldn't connect after I posted this...and then I went away for a week!

The Dak does okay with that kind of weight...turning isn't a problem. The road with the 11% grade is awfully windy and it does pretty well.

My vacation two weeks ago was going up to camp (and that hill)...I reduced my load by about 600 lbs. this year (left a few piece of gear at home, and sent some along in the lighting trailer, which is much lighter gear) and, wow, did that make a difference. Figuring around 5000 in weight, give or take, and it just rolled...rode in 6th on the highway the whole time, and was in 4th going up the 11% grade and it had power to give--I couldn't go any faster because of the curves. Went through 19 gallons the whole week...Lebanon to the Poconos and back on one tank. I couldn't have been more pleased.

The only thing I want to fix is adding some air bags to the truck's rear suspension so I don't get so much backend sag on the truck...
