I didnt say the plug was a better conductor. I said its a more efficient conductor. It lasts 100k miles, the gap doesnt change due to wear, etc.
Ah, seemed to me you were talking about how efficient of a conductor it was, didn't realize you were referring to mileage.

Topped off my tank when getting joe this morning. Mileage seems the same. I always wind up getting somewhere in the 17.x mpg with my around town driving and commute. Nothing has changed with the new plugs.

I also noticed that 05 dakota autolites have a different part # then the 06 dakota autolites, for the same engine. Maybe some kind of revision? Dont know. The 06 dakota uses # 5224 for all types.

Final verdict: The #5224 autolite double platinums @ .035 run the same as fresh copper plugs in my truck.

Good luck all, thanks for all the info.

well, I hope they work out for ya... atleast you dont have all the problems that were first reported.

Bad idle, stalling... goodluck bro.
Yeah. I cant imagine stalling being possible from this plug. Its a copper core plug with platinum tips on it to slow wear. Its not some huge thing. Alot of things get blown up on the internet. Someone felt a slight difference and it gets passed on and blown up.

They work fine. I have the v6 3.7L though, not the 4.7L V8. They have run perfectly, the truck idles fine still, the truck runs smooth. I still get the same gas mileage as I did originally, with the factory plugs. Everything just seems normal.

It sounds like the copper 3923s are the overall best performing plug though.

For me I just wanted to get a plug that I wouldnt have to change as often. So I went with the DLB PLT 5224 from autolite. If they had decreased performance, I would have removed them asap, but they work the same.

I just switched from the 5224 to the 3923 in my '06. The 3923s are much better.
