what size are they 8 1/4 or what,i want to get a chrome cover for it and how much fluid does it hold

It could be either 8 1/4 or 9 1/4, not sure whats exactly on your truck.

REAR AXLE-Fluid Capacity

8 1/4 in. 2.07L (70 oz.) = 2.19 qt or 3qt

9 1/4 in. 2.13L (72 oz.) = 2.25 qt or 3 qt

its a 06 dakota crewcab 4.7 non ho if it help 4 wheel drive

OR you can call the stealership andthey can run your VIN and tell you...

It most likely is the 9.25

That is what mine is and I have the 4.7 in a 2wd

I just got a Mag-Hytec cover for mine.
