Default Problem with 08 Trailer lighting

I just leased a new 2008 Dodge Dakota. I hooked up my trailer (with a 4 pin connecter) to it and got no brake lights or turn signals. However I was getting running lights when i turned them on. The trailer had all working lights not 5 days prior to the new truck. I am sure there is a simple solution to the problem. If anyone can give me an answer it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

drive the truck and trailer to the dealer and have them figure it out. i would start pulling fuses in the control box under hood to check if any went bad. could have a bad ground wire somewhere in the new system

I would print the TSB or Recall notice from the web and bring it in to your Mitsu dealer. Unless they are complete morons, they have to know the Raider is the same truck. I see their point if Mitsu Corporate hasn't issued one they will not get paid back for it. But if I was the dealer, I would eat the cost and cover it and send the bill in with the Dakota recall and take a chance a reimbursement. But that just won't happen in this day and age.
