Talking Finally got My truck!!!

Got an '05 quad cab 4x4 with the 4.7 HO V8. Picked it up Saturday. Now it just needs a good wash and wax...Any volunteers...Didn't think so.... Whats the difference in the high output engine? Just noteced today that it said that on tailgate... Loven the truck, can't wait to start getting some mods.... Heres a pic. I think the color is molten red...

The HO's have 260 where as the ST's have 230. Not 100% sure about torque. I'm pretty sure they all have 300 though.

4.7 = 230 hp 290 torque
4.7 HO = 260hp 310 torque

First time I can post since 05/30/08!

Default mpg

Does that mean that gas mileage is going to suck? It does seem to have a lot of torque. Hard to keep foot out of it.

Well a cure to gas consumption is a cure for leadfootalidous. Currently most of us here have this disease. Modding the truck only inflames it, just wait till you put and intake or an exhaust on it, it'll get worse! Sorry buddy, you are heading down hill with the rest of us, haha

As far as I know HOs require premium gas. MPGs should be very comparable to the reg 4.7L. I been getting around 18 city and 22 highway. I read a review on the HO and if I remember right the mpgs for it were something like 15 city and 20 highway, but what do you expect, more horses require more feed.

Fireman, if you talk real nice to wyatt, he may even put his bikini swimsuit on while washing and waxing your truck...just ask baracis, he got the full experience for his own truck washing/waxing...haha

Yea, mpg is gonna suck if you keep your foot it in. Good solution is to just trade me trucks. Mine gets 60 mpg and runs on air. (trade agreement: no returns, no whining because I lied, no lawsuits)

Lghtngblt02 has a mental disability. Everything homosexual he says is actually drawn from his own fantasies and played out by other men he finds attractive. This keeps him from being "gay", or so he thinks. Apparently he is left completely in the dark; most likely because he hasn't come out of the closet yet.
