Default After Market Tie Rod Ends and Sway Bar Links

Hey guyz,

Got an 05 with 36K on it. Lookin to replace the shocks, tie rod end links and well as sway bar end links.

I'm goin with the Rancho Shocks. Is MOOG a good brand to go with on the tie rods and sway bar? Or is there anything else better out there??

Any info would be great! THANKS!!!!!

MoparPower00:
You can't get the front swaybar end-links from anywhere but Dodge. I tried to find them myself, and the shop I use tried to find them aftermarket, to no avail. The front end-links have a universal joint in the lower part of the link. I guess no one has made them aftermarket yet.

Someone was going to try using Energy Suspension solid links awhile ago, haven't heard anything about that since though and I don't remember who it was. I've tossed the idea around myself a few times, I wonder what the design reason for the universal is.

You could always ditch the tapered tie rod ends and go with heim joints. Should be pretty easy to find if you know the thead size.

To convert the steering knuckles to heim joints you will need to have a reamer.

hell and if us 3rd gen guys could find a way to beef the steering up. there wouldnt be a reason to not make a lift kit, being the weakness in our steering is the reason noone wants to play with our trucks
