Yo this might be a stupid question, but how do I know if I have the HO or the reg 4.7

Hey Dozier,

The V8 badges on the back of the truck either say "V8 Magnum" or "V8 High Output".

The HO emblem looks like this. The Magnum logo is exactly like this, but where it says High Output at the bottom, it says Magnum instead.

Heres what MoparPower00 was talking about for the "V8 Magnum" emblems It looks like this

or if its debadged, it should be stamped on the stock air box and or in your owners manual.

I was curious also, Found out here that the 8th digit in the VIN will be a J if it's an HO, N if it's standard output.

Don't know if they do the same with the "teeny trucks", but my '02 Grand Cherokee has it plainly on the resonator box on the TB.

Just floor it. If truck is poochy, its probably a magnum. If it sets you back in the seat then its probably an HO...

also, take a look at the VIN#. Do you have an "N" or "J"?
