Default Tiny tranny/differntial wine in the cold weather

Hey guys. Now that it's getting a bit colder here, like low 40's at night out of no where. (I am in NY). I noticed that when i start her up to leave work at night (i work second shift) Its like 40 degrees out and my tranny seems to have a slight wine. It may also be the rear diff. It kinda sounds like how some trannys sound in reverse, except this is in 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Know what I mean?

Since I work 5min from my home, i can only guess that it does this when its cold, because during the trip TOO work at 2pm, its quiet.

Normal?

I have the 6 speed manual, and I don't really remember it ever making this sound the last few winters. It doesnt sound like somthin is broken, it just sounds like the tranny is a little noisier. Best way to describe it is the sound a standard tranny reverse gear makes.

So it sounds like it's got straight cut gears?

Maybe you need a tranny fluid change...
