Default 12V Power supply

Anyone know a way i could get a 12V power supply inside my truck to get some Interior LED's.. Thanks..

Ive talked to a local parts store and they were like, you can run wires directly from the battery to a switch, but i was thinking, wouldnt the battery be too much juice for 12v leds.. I really want something that kicks off when the ignition goes off, i dont want to burn the battery because i forgot to turn off a swtich or something.. Thanks for assistance.

You shouldn't need a power supply for that, the key with LEDs is using the proper resistors so you don't burn them out with too much current. I'm assuming you're talking about getting LEDs and making your lighting, if you're buying LED lighting made for use in car from a company like streetglow you definitely don't need to worry about it. Either way pull from a fused power source (fusebox is always a good spot), if you have a multimeter you can test for 12V when the ignition is on and 0V when it's off, preferably a spare fuse or something unimportant in case you accidentally burn the fuse
