the frt speakers are a different design depending on when the truck was built. i needed to have a spacer for my door speakers. tweeter has the part for the 6.5 speaker. but i did not replace the back. went with a boxed 6x9 set up because i dont use the back seat. i put my amp between the two seats. i got a really great deal off ebay. 6.5 door speakers and the 6x9 package deal for sony explodes were 99.99 cant beat that.

i ended up taking the seats out as well and putting a box in the back with two ten inch subs and my amp is on the floor behind my drivers side seat. my set up is nice and everything works well. sounds good but i would still like to replace the speakers, when i turn my volume up to high theres a lil crakling from the speakers

The speakers are 6.5" all around. I replaced all of mine with Polk db650's, sounded pretty good off the factory head unit, they sound even better with the MyGIG. For now I'm pretty happy with them. The front speaker brackets make things a bit weird, I wrote up a DIY of how I did it when I installed mine which you can find here: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/showthr...a3rdGEN+123abc

I've also heard you can buy an adapter bracket that lets you fit normal speakers onto the front brackets without doing what I did. No idea how much they cost though.
