Default Starting trouble

I have an 05 dodge dakota 4.7L V8 magnum and just purchased it 2 months ago. So the car starts fine when it is cold but when the engine is slightly warm their is starting problems. The engine makes a noise like it is trying to start but it doesn't if i put in the gas a little it then starts. Anyone know what could be the problem?

well that's weird. I cant get it to do it right now. Hmm, Maybe it only happens when it is cold outside...Im a little confused now. My mom told me it happens to her sometimes when she drives it and she said "it does it when it feels like it".

I had a similar issue with my 96 Dakota. Had to give it gas to start it, eventually wouldn't start at all. Took out tps and cleaned it, adjusted it and then started fine for 2 days then started over again. Changed sensor, worked finr about 3 days then started over again. Long story short, ended up being a dead cell in battery. New battery and was good as new.
