I replaced the 3923's with NGK Iridum XI plugs. They seem to be a huge improvement. The Autolites plugs seemed better at first, but they quickly began to suck. The engine idled a bit smoother, but torque was decreased. I've had the NGKs for about 500 miles now, and the snap is back.

I would be leary of a Bosch Fusion plug. I'm sure its a fine plug, but they still have platinum. The platinum stockers suck. Full Iridium is the way to go.

I don't know how this discussion is still going on.

I am still on the ddl plat 5224 autolites and there exactly the same as day one. Im sure the iridiums are just the same. Annnd the coppers.

Sure you guys aren't putting them in backwards?

I totally agree with the sentiment about the 3923's. They seemed great for the first few thousand miles, but they absolutely suck now. Now *****, no torque, but hey a but smoother idle. BFD!!! I will be going with the NGKs tomorrow.

Well, I switched out the 3923's this past weekend. I went with the Bosch Fusion Iridium 4508's. The truck had over 200 miles put on it on Sunday after they were installed and a 220 mile round trip jaunt to L.A. yesterday for a business meeting. I have to say they are night and day over the 3923's. My truck has it's ***** back (with the chrome danglers like Bolt mind you). The truck idles as smooth as the 3923s and it moves. I am very happy with them!

4.7s seem to like the none copper plugs a tad better then the copper ones, i know on the 3.9, 5.2, and 5.9 platium plugs are HORRIBLE!

If you get a set of autolite and gap them Correctly, you can save yourself 50$ and get the same performance.

I have used NGKs, Autolites, Bosh Platiums, and the iridiums by autolite.. and as far as i can tell, i get less backfires and smoother start/idle with the Copper Autolites, but then again i have 5.9 a out of date motor.
