I understand and appreciate whats being done, but with some of us and our funds 3, 4, 5, or even 6 grande digs kinda deep to put it into an engine and have it lose itself. Once you get the market completely built, and some real world numbers Id more than likely jump aboard

I am kinda on the same thinking as Cramerica, Studlyblueiz and Eric, I am a tad hestitant

Keep up the good work man, you have def got your groundwork laid and you look like you are going in the right direction, Ill praise ya for that

20 psi is overkill for a 4.7 + truck. I can understand wanting to boost any vehicle but eventually it gets to a point where you should be looking at a different vehicle. Unless you have a shop with all the tools you need to fabricate your own parts then it would be a nightmare project for a daily driver primary vehicle.

As far as whether to piece a s/c together or custom turbo I think the smart thing to do if really interested in hp would be turbo. Isn't that how all turbo vs s/c lean to anyways...Why spend the money on a custom s/c over a custom turbo? The only reason I would have considered a KRC s/c is because of simplicity. If it's bolt on I could get it done in a day or two and hopefully up and running the next.

Besides unless the s/c is centrifugal it's not more than 50% efficient. Sometimes you're lucky to get that.

I agree 20lbs is overkill...but he's just giving us a good range of where "we can take it to" and considering that "there really is alot that can be done to our engine"....lets just be thankful they've got other parts for us other than the supercharger lol....I know for sure im grabbing an order of the High Output cams from you guys!

Names like "4.7L SCAT H-BEAM RODS/4.7L ROSS PISTONS/4.7L ARP STUD BOLTS"

The names have the "Stability and Durability" your questioning in them. No they are not cheap... but they are "STABLE & DURABLE".

Again, you don't need to supercharge your engine if you don't want to. Supercharging has NEVER been a FREE mod and it will always cost more then your average bolt on. So perhaps your into N/A bolt ons?

If I can get my pig N/A 4.7L QUAD CAB 1500 RAM to run 9.49's in the 1/8 mile then you can get your N/A 4.7L Dakota into the 8's with the same bolt-on's.... So if you cant afford to boost then go N/A. I have about 2500 bucks in mods. Thats half the price of a Supercharger though!

But honestly in the end it always ends up cheaper Dollar to Horse Power when you Supercharge.

The one thing the 4.7L world has against it is for some reason many of the owners of the 4.7L engines complain that the aftermarket has left them cold out to dry when parts are not available but ALWAYS complain more when the parts become available... Its strange but honestly this happens more often then not. This is why you don't see much support for the 4.7L engines by any of the big aftermarket companies... because 4.7L owners (Not all owners) tend to spend more time justifying why they should not buy the mods they once complained about. Perhaps is a coincidence of demographic... but its a stigma that's been plaguing us 4.7L owners for a long time.

When I was looking around trying to get parts made nearly EVERY big name manufacture said the same thing... "There is not much of a market with the 4.7L customer base, they do not spend money on these kind of parts" Call around and ask for yourself... You will hear the same thing.

The fact is, the parts are available TODAY... If you really want to make your 4.7L go fast, then the options are out their for you. You can do ANYTHING you want to you 4.7L engine. The strings have been cut, and all the mods you have ever needed to go fast are available.

Remember, I'm most likely the most PRO 4.7L engine person you will ever meet. I have always been and will continue to be all about the 4.7L engine. I would like to see the 4.7L turn into the next 4.6L.... Those ford guys have EVERYTHING available because they buy it when it comes available!

SPEED SAFE, AIR RAM
