Default lighting for 08's

just wondering if anyone has upgraded the headlights on their 08 yet. i bought some silverstars today for mine but the god damn things wouldn't fit. they're the same bulb but they have this extra seal at the base that won't clear the red seal on the stock lens assembly. i just took 'em back because in my opinion $65 light bulbs shouldn't have to be screwed with to make 'em fit. so......who's done what?

brad,
tired of buying parts for the 08 that don't fit.

unless i'm mistaken. maybe i'll try a different set if i can find something. owning an 08 sucks, none of the parts i buy fit and i'm tired of being bone stock

stock seal on the light assembly?? What I think happened is that the red seal is from the bulb you were removing. there shouldn't be a seal on the assembly. Just on the bulbs. (I know, that happened to me when I put in silver stars before the projectors)

these ones are definitely better than stock but i'm still not satisfied. i want them tilted up higher so they light up more than 20 ft. in front of me. soooooooo.......any one know how to do that? is that adjusting screw on the corner for height or left to right adjustment? or do i have to shim it or something

thanks

I had to do it on my 07, just a tad higher! They are at a good height now, I can see and no cars are flashing me when I am on low beam, so its all good. You are going to need a star bit, to do it, I forget the size...
