Default Shocks Under Warranty

Who out there has successfully warrantied their front shocks at a dealer? I have about 8,000 miles left on 3/36 and am wondering if a trip to the dealer would be worth my while. The shocks aren't great, but aren't blown...yet. I'd like to complain and request a set of '08 shocks be installed at about. I guess you could say, when it goes to the dealer, it is my 'official position' that the front shocks are defective.

Now, could the dealer road test the truck and tell me to get lost?

A local shop quoted a pretty reasonable $310 (installed) for the fronts to be replaced with Monroe SensaTrac's. But, if I can get some free miles out of a set of '08's, which are supposedly better damped, then I'll take it. Just don't want to set off the bullsht alarm.

I've had both shocks replaced under warranty but they were good and blown, not just on the way. My dealer also installed my TM kit for me at a heavy discount (only had to pay for labor above and beyond replacing the shocks which was minimal). They did tell me they're not going to warranty them a second time though, wouldn't be able to get Chrysler to reimburse them for it.

They just did min about six week ago UW. They said they weren’t leaking but had little dampening left. That means the inter seals where shot. They feel like new. lol
At 40k, I plan on Ranchos all around.

You have to make them apear to be leaking with a little oil applied with a piece of vacuum line to get in close to the shaft, apply liberally. They can't say much after that they are leaking! I recomend waiting at the dealer so they don't feed you a line.

Hahaha, I'm not looking to fabricate evidence. I'd just go in and insist that the ride quality is much worse than when I bought it, possibly mentioning the documented, consistently bad quality of the OEM shocks.
