Unhappy 05 dakota CLUNK problems

Need some help with a CLUNK. I had my 05 dakota quad to the dealership 3 times now and still no results. Upon initial startup I have, at times, had everything go smoothly down the rode and at other instances I've had the truck CLUNK hard between 5 to 15mph. The dealer ran a diagnostic on the tranny and said it runs properly. I can't tell whether it is a drivetrain, the tranny, or the differential, or the transfer. Its an automatic tranny AWD with 65k miles on it. I've had the trans fluid changed by the dealer. They tell me to let it warm up. However it does this when it is cold as well as when it warm. Has anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have the extended limited warranty.

when if ever have you reset the computer. disconnect the neg battery cable. turn and hold key to the start position for 20 sec. this will clear everything. reconnect cable and start and stop truck 3 times. on the third time leave truck running for about 5 min or until it reaches operating temp. move gear selector into the neutral position. this will start the fluid running thru the system. keep it there for about 15 seconds. then put it in drive and away you go. you may need to reset the tranny computer also. find a empty stretch of road. put truck in low 1 and just go, mash the gas. get about 5800 rpm and upshift to sec. dont let off, just keep going until you get into drive. truck should shut down at 112 mph. this should help out with the tranny issue.

Are your serious? Not wise to tell someone to actully do that! Superdak you usually have great advice for people, I'm going to assume you are just playing.

I get a clunk out of mine every once and awhie. I have a 06 with 26K 2wd. I think it is in the rear end. I've learned to live with it as these truck have all sorts of "odd" noises. My PS pump sounds like a supercharger when it is cold, lol.

the other thing to do, is crawl under the truck and see if you get alot of movement out of the driveshaft. see if you can turn it left or right. you may have a u-joint going. also if it is 4x4 try it in that. it may not clunk.
