Is this something you could set and forget? I would really love to tune my truck but really cant justify the cost of the tunner quite yet.

at wot the computer is cutting the fuel off. you feel the truck fall flat on its face, throwing my knock sensors out of whack. forget running the nitrous, i may need a hemi retard device to get the full affect now. its been nothing but problems since day one. went to the dyno for accurate readings. truck keeps shutting down, as soon as you mash the gas, cuts right off. take the tune out, truck screams like it use to. the tuner is made for basically stock trucks, which mine is not. that might be the problem.

How modded up are you 'dak? I know when I put the KRC 210 cam in my truck, my Superchips will be useless as it cannot control that cam without a piggyback. That's when the SC will go on my Grand Cherokee Overland's 4.7 H.O. and I'll be getting an SCT for the truck.
But hell, I have no problems right now with CAI, exhaust, LT headers and a few other bolt on goodies...

Superdak, I email SC while ago asking about the difference between Flashpak and Cortex. I told them the mods I currently have and mentioned I'd probably be getting cams next spring. Here was their reply:

Our tuners are built for stock vehicles, so if you already have
headers and plan to do cams I would suggest you go with more of a custom
tune rather than one of our tuners for a stock vehicle, I think you will
be much happier with the result.

Thanks

I still plan on going with SCT, unless I hear something different about the SC.

No one's really said if they'll do ok on the HOs yet. I remember the post awhile back that sc needed HO trucks. Superdak, aren't you running the HO cams? (Side ?, are the aftermarket HO cams the same as the stock HO 4.7 cams?) I'm wondering if that may have some part in the failure...
