Damn. 4 hundo is a truck payment for me

Turbo - do you actually poke through the balljoint boot and shoot some grease in? Any risk of blowing the seal that way? Do you seal the hole back up with something or is it too small to worry about? I like that idea; if they stay greased they should last a long time.

the boot is rubber, it will seal itself back up. I just poke it in the middle of the boot away from moving parts.

Nice, I like the sound of that...might look into it the next time it's warm/dry enough to get under my truck.

Hmm.. I'd start pitching a fit to mama Chrysler. This kind of stuff is retarded, and they need to figure it out. $200 for a control arm, when $60 for a joint is all you should have to do. All because some "engineer" at corporate thought its a "good idea."
*And with the $200, your still getting the same, ****ty OEM Dodge ball joint that failed in the first place!
I'm replacing all my ball joints on my truck - all of mine are seperatly replaceable. I feel for you guys though when you gotta replace yours.

I'm still waiting for aftermarket, my rig is out of warranty now so I don't plan on replacing any dodge parts unless I absolutely have to.
