Rattle in front end driving me nuts (shocks?)
Well this has been an interesting post to read through.
.
I have a question though. Getting back to the topic i have a noise in the front end also but it is more of a hollow sound when i go over any bumps and the front suspension compresses. I was thinking blown shock's. What does that sound like to the rest of you? Thanks

If I remember right the bushings will make a bit of a grinding noise when you drive over bumps at low speeds.
I'm about to...
The last posts are being deleted by me and if it goes un-civil again or more insults follow, I'll delete the thread. I don't want to.
This is a technical post in a technical section and the users don't want to read through this stuff.

Guys...
Chill out. I have read the posts, and NJ had an opinion based on his experience as a Tech. Not once did you guys prove him wrong by providing any kind of facts. This is usually how someone would go about "proving someone wrong". Not by throwing insults out and digging on people.
If you dont agree with someone, thats fine. I am not saying you cant have a discussion. But if you are going to "start crap" do it via PM. Keep this crap out of the open forum.
We are all adults (for the most part I think anyway) so lets act like it.
Provide statistics and factual information to prove points. its a lot better to win the "point" that way than to start flaming.
This is all I have to say, Sorry to the rest of the forum, and our guests. This place is usually more civil than this.

It is big of you to apologize, obviously you have offended some but I have to say, I completely agree with your previous post. Short, sweet and to the point.
I also agree with tankmechus. Thanks to people like us, others benefit from better quality service. Had I dealt with this mechanic in a real life situation, I probably would have ended up reporting him to the better business bureau.

first off, use the edit feature...
Second, maybe you should read the rules in the newbie section... since the terms of use are not the rules...
If you really want to butt heads with site mods, thats fine... before you decide to do that, you may want to read the rules
Personal attacks against a member is against the rules...
If things are left vague and names are not mentioned, thats fine. As soon as someone names someone else, and insults them... thats breaking rules.
Expressing opinions are one thing, calling names is another.
Never once did I say not to express an opinion. Actually,
At what point did I say not to have an opinion?
Maybe show some respect for the original posters question and not jack his thread.

(the way that the situation was handled was by insulting and stating opinions... the latter is fine if the prior didnt happen)

Provide statistics and factual information to prove points.(not just opinions as to why that person is wrong. if you are going to say someone is wrong, you had better be able to back up what you are saying.) its a lot better to win the "point" that way than to start flaming.

Sorry, I misunderstood you, you did not state for us not to express our opinions just described a method that is within the rules.
Although this is thread jacking, this discussion is developing more interst to this post, this is apparent due to the number of threads and active members posting on it. The intial person who made the post even followed up and posted again trying to find an answer to his question. Either way, I will try to play according to the rules set by the forum. I do not want to be guilty of "flaming, board wars, trolling".....
Thanks for the heads up with the rules in the newbie section. In the future I will bump heads via the rules.
