Nothing like throwing down a few grand for some 20's so the Michigan DOT can destroy them with salt. How about 20's with summer grips and 16" steelies with decent snow tires?
well heres the thing.. you go 20s you can only go like a side wall of 45-55, possibly a 60 but i dout it... you can put 20s on your truck without a lift if u put the right size tires on your truck.. depending on the look you want.... these are all key things u need to answer before we can comment..
Okay thanks. What exactly is 45-55? Like I know there are 275/45/20, is 45 the amount of rubber or what? I want something with a lot of rim, but not too much tire.
Google search tire sizes or go to TireRack. Or search the forum. Tire sizing has been explained ad nauseum. [Tread Width / Aspect Ratio / Rim size] is the format.
20s with little sidewall is fine for a 2wd or a 4wd pavement queen, but does not allow for near enough sidewall flex on a 4x4 who does even mild off-roading.
If you travel at all off the pavement, even with a 4x2, stick with the 18s or even opt for 17" wheels...
