finally had a chance to open up truck last night on the highway, nothing but semis and open road. had the sc tuner set at 138 mph and banged the speed limiter. truck fell flat on its face, you could hear and feel the fuel and spark shut down, funny thing, when i looked at the speedometer, the needle was bouncing up and down on the pin that sticks out of the guage. wide open throttle and truck was pulling at 4000 rpm. still had more to go. i wonder what the overall speed would be if i have a few miles and no limiter.

Nice. I'm jealous. I think my truck wasn't able to make it much over 100.

 

my factory speed limiter was set at 118 mph. i could easily hit that anytime coming home from work at night. but this was fun

 

Not trying to jack your thread but, what is the rev limit on the non-ho 4.7 engine?

not the rev limiter speed limiter, but the factory rev limiter is set at 5800 rpm,

 

must be nice, it takes 3 airport runways, a lot of free time, and a couple tanks of gas to get my dak to the 118 speed limiter.

 

i have never had an issue with how fast my truck went. there was times i felt like opening it up on the way home from work and would 118 with ease. and i would just keep pulling
