back on topic, Why get a new one (unless the wood grain one is damaged) and Paint the one you have? You can make it any color/texture you want.

 

Yep, paint it. And if you screw it up, buy the new one.
I know why you want to get rid of the woodgrain. Before I bought my new 08 I was looking at used Daks and wouldn't even consider looking at a truck if it had the wood. Just too ugly. Reminds me of a Matador dash in my uncles car when I was a kid.

 

I have thought about painting it, but since it was part of the purchase agreement, I'll let the dealer buy me a replacement, then I'll sell the wood one.

By the way, my local Dodge dealer quoted me $319 for the bezel. He also thinks that it's a black bezel, based on the item number that you guys gave me. I'll let them figure it out first.
