Default thinking about a after market head unit

I'm looking for a new head unit for the Dak. I am tired of getting interference and/or hearing other peoples music when I am listening to my Ipod and Sirius. So I wen to a local audio place (going to support my local economy) and am looking at this (note link is from crutchfield but this is the unit)
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130P410...B.html?tp=5684

Price so far (they are getting a quote for me) 200 for the unit and ipod adaptor cable so i can control the ipod from the unit. 50 for installation. the question is the dodge adaptor they would need.

Think this is a good deal? is there a better unit out there instead? (price and usage comparable) All I am looking for is to have clear, crisp music without the bleeding from other peoples crap. And with my track record, I am going to have them do the install!!

If you're looking for a good unit to hook an ipod up to I'd take a look at Alpine's iDA-X series of head units, good quality and an excellent setup for ipods unless you need a CD player (who still uses those? ).

ok I got the P4100 Pioneer. Have the remote control for the steering wheel coming on Wednesday. With only the head unit replaced I cannot believe how much better it sounds. Stock speakers are not that bad if you can push good sound to them. I am really happy with this upgrade!

Did the Sirius come with the truck or are you listenting to a little portable unit?

I have my XM hardwired to the radio and have had no issues with bleedover...

correct, My Ipod had a FM and the Sirius sportster I have had a FM broadcast built in. Now the Pioneer has a USB for the ipod and I can control it and a AUX port in the front that is hooked into my sirius cradle. I have to say so far this is my favorite mod to the truck.
