Front headrest guide and lock removal ? - 2006
I'm installing seatcovers that require the exposed part of the headrest guide and lock assy to be removed and then reinserted once the cover is pulled over the seat. I can get the headrest off by inserting a pin in the small hole on the guide, but I need to get the guide off the metal post the headrest slides in and out of. I've compressed the seat down around the post but don't see any retainiers that would release the lock and guide.
Has anyone figured out how to get them out without damaging them?

yeah, once you pull the plastic pieces off(on both rods), pull them all the way up. then take your hand in the gap and bump up pretty hard. work into it. they come out without any further dis assembly.
I had mine out to do my dodge iron on's. getting them back in is fun. took me a few minutes the first time.
