Different Part numbers for off road group axles

Default Different Part numbers for off road group axles

Click the above link to see that there are two axles for our trucks, one with off road grou and one without. Both for 4wd.

Makes you wonder.

Nope, reference the part with the number and you will see that this is for CV axle shaft ends. The axle gearing has a seperate number and is on a different page.

My thinking is the CV on the ends of the front axle have more felx built into them OR the are designed with flexier boots to allow for more lift without rubbing the boot and causing holes and eventually failure. Not that big a deal but they are cheaper then the ones that are w/o the off road (TRX4) package.
