Best single mod you can do, considering that these are just shocks, is a pretty strong statement! What about wheels, tires, and exhaust? The only reason that I am repling is that my 06' Dakota makes front end noises every time I hit a bump like the shocks are bad. Does it really make that much of a difference??? Pretty sad for us if we need to replace 4 shocks at several hundred $ right off the bat, no?

"Just shocks" Just really really bad shocks. I stand by my statement. IMO, the oem shocks are so bad that 'for the money' they are the best single mod you can do. I have replaced a lot of parts...including exhaust. Wheels and tires are nice, but if the ride is still ****, who cares. Yeah a supercharger will make a hell of a difference, but thats a lot of $$.

Friend, install the Ranchos and you will see for yourself that these claims are not in the least bit hyped up. They make all the difference in the world!!! I was quite skeptical myself considering the price but, now I wish I had done it sooner. Good Luck.

Rancho 5000? I see $344 for a set. Anything special when installing? I just changed out our Ford Explorer with reflex cause both coil springs were cracked. Are our shocks inside coil springs too?

Thanks,

Lance

Yes. Shocks in springs. Need spring compressors, ball joint splitter, patience.

4wheelonline for $290 shipped. Will give opinion in a month or two, depending on weather.
Thanks,

Lance
