It's admirable that you have the spare 4.7 sitting around. And you are right not to put it in yours yet. After all, its easier to have the heads sent out for porting, swap cams, and install new rods and pistons while the motor is out of the truck. 454???? I thought you were a Dodge guy

well with this fan does it work on the V8's? and do you have to manually turn it on or does it work with the computer when to turn on and off?

....did you happen to see any horsepower and torque numbers for the 08+ 4.7L?

As far as the 454 goes, if you are referring to the GM trucks from like 1995.....no thanks.

i know you guys could get the 4.7, thats why i listed the hemi, and the 5.9 as options, one of those in a 3rd gen would be SWEET, and better than the 4.7

and btw, keep a mopar motor in the dodge, PLEASE

Dodge lists the 08+ 4.7 at 302hp and 329lb/ft.

It sure does!!! it comes with an ac relay and a thermostat switch ( it turns it on and off... you program it to turn on/off at the temp you want ) so you dont need to buy anything..... its a lil tricky to hook up and figure out but when your done your done you will be happy you did it!

I had a bulit up 454 in my el camino and that would smoke just about anything on this forum... ( maybe not a viper) but just about anything else... so I wouldnt talk smack about that motor....
