i ht it used....BUT i ran a carfax, went to a dodge dealership and had then run a check on my VIN...and nothign came up on balljoint replacement.....and ive done a good look at them....they look DAMN NEAR STOCK!!!

Just trying to decide between a 2nd generation dakota and a tacoma...

The Tacoma won't tow near as well as a Dakota, especially a V8. My nephew has a 4wd last gen Tacoma and it gets worse fuel economy than my V8.

what do you want out of your truck? if your going to be towing, that dakota is by far the better choice. if you are just going to get groceries and need a decent little truck... The tacoma will probably have a 4 cyl option.

there is a lot to look at when asking for opinions.

If you decide to go 2nd gen, pop in there and ask those guys how they are doing and i they would buy again...
