Default Chrome/rust removal
I have the chrome Westin nerf bars, Tody temp was in the mid 50's so we took advantage and washed the vehicles. When washing the truck, noticed some rust spots. How can I treat them? I am thinking Duplo chrome paint and use a glass bristle brush to clean out the rust and fill with the paint? anything better to use?

I would try to polish it first... you might get lucky and only have surface rust.

Could you feel a pit or anything?


if not, grab a powerball or powerball mini and some chrome polish. set the drill on high and hit it. see if you can get it off.

duplicolor chrome will NOT turn out the way you think it will..

ok, I have a powerball mini so now to get the chrome polish and give it a try. thanks.

good luck man... hopefully it comes off for ya. the chrome paint doesnt give the effect real chrome does... hopefully it doesnt come to that.
