Default noises from the front end

when i turn either left or right to almost full lock i get a grinding noise. do you think it is the tie rod ends, upper ball joints, or lower ball joints?

i believe that i can change the tie rod ends, the upper ball joints require a new control arm assy, what about the lower ball joints?

truck is out of warranty so this is out of my pocket. however i do not mind casting a large net and replacingextra parts while the tirea are off.

i appreciate any answers

Check your rubber boots on your tie rods and your ball joints. If you have any breaks and missing grease you will quickly find your culprit. Dont forget to check your rack and pinion as well, that entire assembly can be expensive but I have found them online for 100ish bucks.

You should probably get that changed out soon, unfortunately we can't get aftermarket ones yet (possibly never) so you'll have to get it from the dealer and you have to replace the whole upper arm, it sucks.

I have some ball joints, I believe both upper and lowers, through a local brake shop. Moog parts, been waiting for three weeks. Everytime I call them they check and say Moog says they are being made and will be out anytime.

Your gonna want to get grease on those everyday that it rains or keep an eye on it once a week til you can get them replaced. They make boots to repair but if its squeeking already or making noises you need to replace asap. failure is mighty dangerous.

ask this guy.

It could be the stops, they need grease once in awhile or they make noise when you lock left or right.
