Default Stock airbox cover! Is it a P.O.S. or is it me?

When I bought My '08 laramie, i immediately started digging under the hood and poking around. I wanted to take a peek at the air filter so i popped the cover off. When trying to close it up i encountered numerous problems trying to get the thing closed. Is there a special trick to get these on or off? I'd like to know before I start throwing parts into the trash can.If this is a problem, id like to replace it with something else. I have the 4.7 engine, its a 4X4 4door

I sort of know what you mean...just bring the 3 tabs in at a small angle, once there in push them so the little tooth moves over and then flatten it down and snap it all closed. Unless urs is screwed up, its not all that hard, just tricky.

Half hour?

I can take off, and put a K&N intake system on in 15 minutes...

It takes like 5 seconds to do... start at an angle, there are little tabs that slide underneath little "blocks" if you will... lay the opposite side down, and clamp it down...
