Default Leveling kit install - Strut bearing plate question.

In the install directions for the Daystar 2" kit, it mentions about rotating the upper plate 180 degrees so they line up.. How on earth do you make it turn? It will not budge on mine.

Those that have done it, thoughts?

The directions suck. Simply turn the entire strut around in your hand, 180 degrees, in other words, put it back into the mounting plate backwards. I called them up about that, cause the directions say no spring compression is needed, and its impossible to turn that plate. They then told me over the phone to simply put the strut in "backwards". The kit reverses the triangle that the top three bolts form, so you simply take the whole strut assembly in your hand, and turn it around! lol

It took me a bit to realize it when I installed mine.

Gotcha - thank you, makes sense!

well I got started and pulled a muscle in my side by twisting in a certain way, went to the Dr and got some painkillers. Hope to get it finished this weekend. The injury actually had nothing to do with lifting or wrenching on the truck ironically.

Pics will come shortly.

Thanks - worst part at the moment is that it's going to be a nice weekend weather-wise and I've been advised to take it easy for at least a week. Bah damn. First I thought I had done something to a rib, it was like an 11 of 10 on the pain scale. Apparently some muscle and cartilage got involved and it's not much fun. I'll post up when things get back to normal.

Hell last night I had my wife help me replace the cv shaft on one of our cars (torn boot) and she was able to do about half the work on it at my direction. I've trained her well, schoolteacher but not afraid to get dirty and greasy. She was an unholy mess but we were tired of the bits of grease being flung down the side of the car too.

Well, that and the huge core charge if we didn't get the old one on the way back to them ASAP.
