Default What's the deal with suspension lifts for our trucks?

Are suspension lifts not available for our trucks due to safety/engineering issues, small market or other? What is it?

Small market and there is a lift available if you search the site.

Are you talking about a body lift, I have seen those around- I was referring to a suspension lift.

There is a 4.5" and 6" lift kit, but its through a company that has a horrible reputation, and an F rating through BBB.

Most of us just have 2" leveling kits and 1" or 2" blocks to lift the rear. That and larger tires get's most of us around 3".

Other then that no, there is nothing available.

Not an engineering or saftey issue; more that Dodge only sold about 50,000 Dakotas last year, many into fleet service.

Every Chevy lift kit since 1988 and Ford since 96 or whatever has been designed for IFS. No big deal there; spindle kit, high angle CV's or a diff drop.

It's alot of work, a substantial investment in tooling, etc, etc, for maybe...5% of all owners?
