replacing lower ball joints

Default replacing lower ball joints

has anyone replaced their lower ball joints themselves? is any special tool required? could i take the lower control arm to a shop nad have them press them? what is a decent price?

I'm not sure about the lowers but the uppers require replacing the whole arm, lowers could be the same.

I think the lower ones press out, you can buy just the ball joint. I am not sure if the replacements press in, or if they bolt in.
