Anyone with a 545rfe Transmission with the 4.7 H.O. and 3.92 gear Notice that when slowing down the trans will not shift into 2nd gear It shifts normally from a dead stop and when in high gear downshifting , but when slowing to turn or to slow and then accel again it will not go into second gear Unless you manually pull it in 2nd or you accelerate hard enough to downshift ,

 

Yes but just every once and a while. These trans. are strange and I'm not real happy with the erratic shift points and the jumpy down shifts. I had an updated re-flash back about a year ago and I could not tell any difference. I’m older then many of the forum and back when Chrysler had the most respected and a monster of a trans. call the A-727 TorqueFlite and that would be the trans for my truck.
