Default tire upgrade

I drive an '05 dokata with the 17" chrome package. i am looking to get new tires. i believe i am currently have 275/60r17 stock tires and i would like a larger tire to fill out the wheel well. i would also like a tire that can handle rougher terrain. what is the biggest size tire i can get with out rubbing or horrible mpg. also any brands or specific tires to recommend?

I thought the stock size was 265/65/17 I might be wrong?

but you should be able to do a 265/70/17 with little triming to the wheel wells to fix rubbing when turning other wise your stuck with the size above that

hey thanks, you are correct about the size but apparently the dealership decided to change mine to the 275/60r17

Do you know how much of the wheel well needs to be trimmed? and is it the flimsy inside part only or do i need to trim the outside of the wheel well?

also would any one recommend either the BFgoodrich All-Terrian or Goodyear Silent Armor? in either a 265/65r17 or a 265/70r17?

I just want to make an educated decision here

Not totally sure but the bottom inside of the front mud guard needs to be cut off. turn your wheels so they are the closest to the fender and thats where cutting is needed, might have to trim the front inside as well but I not totally sure on that.
its the inside top edge of gaurd in the well that get pulled on when you turn backing up and once it get pulled it rubs everytime you turn. cutting it or removing and getting fender flares should fix this side of the problem
