Default Intake

I was wondering why no one really seems to build their own intake for the dakota? I've got a little plan going in my head if everything fits I think it'll end up being a VERY effective intake.

I couldn't even buy what I'm thinking of doing. I want to put a E Fan in like a black magic 180 so it would be flat over the rad and see about piping forward instead of to the side to put the filter in front of the rad. I have a little more research to do on it but it looks like 3" would fit if the fan shroud wasn't there, if 3" wouldn't then do dual 2" into a 3" T attached by rubber right to the TB. I think K&N or Amsoil has a filter that would fit on 2" PVC.

Interesting idea, I wonder if bugs and other crap you find stuck in your radiator would be able to do any damage to the filter element though?
