Yeah but I am talking about the ones who you have no idea are there. Not the ones who been bidding against ya. You think damn I got this I got this and the BLAM! You been outbid with no more time to re bid!
you guys are why i start my bids so high on stuff... I hate selling on ebay because of this very chit...
so I just start my price at what I want out of it. if I get one bid, I am happy...
That's what I do too. I start my bidding $5-$10 less than what I really want for it and then put a by it now price of what I want to get for it plus $5-$10.
eric, why dont you just set a reserve on it? can you do that on ebay? something where if you dont get a bid over a certain amount you are not obligated to sell it??
That's what I've always thought a smart seller would do. Set the starting price close to what they want to get. Not these $.99 or $4.99 starting bids. As a buyer I like it, but as a seller it's ridiculous.
I'm checking on some bike stuff right now to see if I can 'snipe' them too.
shrp, they charge you more for a reserve than just starting it at what you want... its just cheaper to list it that way for most things... (unless they are high dollar, then the listing fees get pricey)
