Taco's rated at 7600lb tow capacity which is around if not a little more then the Dak. I'm not trying to flame on the Dak just the Taco's put out the same power out of a 6 cyl with better gearing and weighing less. I know auto to auto for sure the Taco would humiliate the Dak having owned both.

I dunno about that. The Daks weighs more and has more torque, hp is about the same. Pulling each other I'd give the Dak the advantage I think.

WOW, those look GREAT! Ericmery is right, those should have been an option (or stock) on the Dakota. The offset is perfect, they don't stick out at all from what I can see.
Need DAY pic's!!!

Nice,

Actually if you look at dodge's site the max towing available on the Dakota is 7,200 lbs.

Besides, when's the last time you heard of Dakota frames rusting so much this happens?

The 4.0L Toy V6 is respectable, but not awfully far behind the V6 in the Dakota, let alone the V8. Plus, the gearing in the G238 is pretty good. 1st gear rips, and 2nd is good to almost highway speeds if you aren't afraid to touch the redline.

As for towing, don't fool yourself. The Dakota is a 1500 Ram minus a leaf spring or two. Same axle and drivetrain, and frame rails are pretty close in size. Can't really say that about the Taco with respect to the Tundra.

That pic is a 1st gen Taco, I'm sure a Toy nut could identify the year. They all looked the same during those years except for grill refreshes and rim/tire options. I think there's an ongoing recall, that if you can show excessive / dangerous frame rust, Toyota will buy your Tacoma back for 100% of its KBB "Excellent Condition" value.
