Default 4.7 HO Spark plugs

I have a 06 4.7 HO in a SLT SPORT QUAD CAB , I read that the truck had a plug that should be changed at 30,000 miles in the owners manual , when I went into the parts Department I was shocked to see that the plugs were 8 dollars a peice so I pulled a plug out to see what was in it from the factory , it had Champion sprc7pycb4 Platinum Plugs in it from the Factory , The owners manual had somthing totally diff. Im glad it already has platinums in it ! at least they got something right .. WHERE ARE THE PROGRAMMERS FOR THE HO ENGINES ????????

The programmer is the 3865 from Superchips.

Does the '06 HO have 8 or 16 spark plugs?

first off, the plugs that came from the factory are incorrect, there is a post somewhere, these motors do not like plats. get a nice copper core like autolite, i run the 3922 series because of the nitrous, you should run the autolite 3923 or the ngk iridiums, stay away from plats

Default Cortex 3950 and the 4.7 HO

Anyone know anything about this tuner? Both the dealer and superchips confirmed it worked with the 4.7 HO prior to my purchase, but it still doesn't - many updates later. I have attempted to gain support from Superchips without much luck. The first answer I got was "update it" the second was "HO is pending" - almost a month ago. It now appears that the lower model specifies the HO - so anyone know what the deal is?

Thanks,
John

2007 SLT, 4.7HO 4x4, quad cab.

Send it back and get the 3865.....or wait for them to get the program right on the one you have. Has anyone put a 3865 on an HO yet?

If I had an HO I'd call Superchips and confirm that it's not a misprint and there is actually a tune available. Last I knew they were still looking for someone in Florida to lend them an HO.

FYI - You can call Superchips, but they confirmed that the 3950 would work for my HO prior to my purchase. So far it is a $350 paperweight while I wait for programming that they keep promising.
