Default 05-08 3.7L header interest!!!!!

I talked to Doug Thorley, JBA, and Gibson. They said if we can get 20 people interseted in the headers they will produce headers for the 3.7L Dakota and Raider.

I don't know that you'll get a lot of responses honestly. From what I understand, headers on the 4.7 aren't really worth the money. I'd say people are probably hesistant because of that.

To make power with headers, you need an intake and good cat-back system along with a chip or custom tune

Yeah that's something most 3.7L owners don't have. It would be nice, but probably not worth the effort. The 3.7 is a pig, but it gets the job done, and that's about it.

I just got the KN Aircharge intake and it really opened the truck up. Sounds like a beast. With headers you should see 10-15whp untuned. Knowing Doug Thorley the headers will come with a new y-pipe. The stock exhaust is 2.5'' I believe so all you would have to do is change the muffler for a high performance one that will cost you about $90.

Overall that's like $700 performance upgrade on a 3.7, I honestly don't think many people will spring for it. Not really as much potential as with the 4.7. Just my thoughts.

stop hating on this guy all he wants is more HPs.. give him credit for trying to get some more aftermarket support out there instead of bashing the 3.7....
that is all....

Will give you more WTQ and more WHP will help you haul bigger loads and let you go off roading without getting stuck

Hey I'm all for more 3.7L power. I just don't plan on investing in my own truck.

What are they asking for these headers?
